This week I noticed that the rain gauge got mold! Today I disassembled it and examined the mold attack. Only the little pieces of bamboo blocking the water had mold.
I removed them easily because there was only hot glue holding them.
They were the only pieces of wood in the gauge that I didn’t treat with poly. Mistake.
Anyways I cut some plastic pieces from the leftover plastic “Extra” lead. The same that I build the bucket. And hot glue them.
Re-mounted to it’s place and ready for the next rain.
